Happy Thursday, y’all! I swear, being a parent makes time pass much faster than it ever did before I had kids. I don’t know if it’s being more busy, more stressed out, or more exhausted — whatever it is, I wish it would slooooooow down. In any event, my week’s been random.
A New Ambassadorship and My Awesome Chiropractor
First, let me start with this:
I’m super stoked to be part of the Fartlek Running Company community. It’s such a fantastic company. Money from every single order goes to a non-profit in need. It’s amazing! Plus some of their shirts are just straight up funny. I highly recommend checking them out.
Can I just tell you how awesome my chiropractor is?
Fining a good chiropractor is wonderful. Whether it be with Tulsa Spine and Rehab or with others, it is so important to get one that works for you. Mine emailed me yesterday to check on me after the crazy intense session we had on Tuesday. I was floored. I feel a little bad that I threw him under the bus with yesterday’s post, but in my defense, I didn’t throw him under the bus. I threw the cupping under the bus. There’s a distinct difference.
Anyways, I just thought that was really awesome of him and it just shows how much this practice cares about their patients. If you’re in northeast Ohio and looking for a great chiropractor, be sure to check out Ohio Sports Chiropractic.
My son’s first 5K is on Saturday.
I know I keep mentioning it, but I’m super excited for him. It’s going to be such an amazing experience for him. He hasn’t loved training but I think he’s going to love racing (even if he is just slow running for his first one!).
All the people. All the medals. All the running! I hope he loves it. I know he’s going to be bragging to his friends for weeks afterward — and really, at almost 7 years old, aren’t bragging rights really all that matter?
What is UP with this weather?
I checked my weather app on Wednesday morning — no chance of rain. Not even 3 minutes later (totally not exaggerating here) it started dumping buckets of rain. Flash flooding, lightning. The whole nine. And yes, this was even moments before bus time. I ended up driving my little dude down to the end of the driveway like my dad used to do for me. By the time it was Little Bee’s turn for school it had thankfully stopped raining. But now it’s all 95?/95% humidity again. What happened to cool, calm 53??!
I’m currently grieving the loss of my office.
Yeah, it’s lame, I know. But I am legit sad that I lost my office space for the time being. We have guests coming and staying with us for an extended period of time over the next couple months and we needed a decent guest room. We spent Labor Day weekend finding a mattress and some nice accent pieces of furniture, and subsequently relocating my office.
And yes, it makes me sad. I don’t think I’m taking down my medals, though. The guests will just have to stare at them while they’re here with us. You’re welcome, dad. You’re welcome, mom. Be proud of me, mmkay? Cue evil laugh. Mwahaha…
So anyway, I think that about sums up my randomness for the week. How about you? What’s one random and/or exciting thing that happened to you this week?
xo
