Dear Cleveland,
Please stop tormenting me with your sunny days and mild weather. I have made my decision that we are no longer a good fit for each other. If you return to your normal cloudy and dreary self, you will see that we shouldn’t be together much longer.
If you insist on being bright, sunny and cheerful, I will take advantage of you and show my son around my old stomping grounds. I’ll take him to the Metroparks and perhaps even Coventry. I’ll likely take him for several walks outside. But I will make sure that I inform him that your pleasantries are few and far between. I’ll let him know that you are really only sunny and happy for approximately 85 days per year.
Thank you, Cleveland, for being a great hometown for all of these years and for helping me grow into the person that I’ve become. We both need to face the truth. We’ve grown apart over the years. It’s time for us to part ways and move on.
We’ll come visit.
Sincerely Yours,
Rachel
