Happy Friday, friends!! Next week is spring break, and I am half happy and half terrified. My kiddo has so much darn energy, it’s hard to keep up with sometimes! But at least we will be able to relax and not rush off to school so early in the morning for a week. I am working on a few posts for next week that I hope you will enjoy. Monday’s recipe will be delicious. You don’t want to miss it!

Finding the workout-life Balance

I have been working out and playing sports since I was 15,
and I truly enjoy being active.
About 5 years ago I decided to make my passion my career and became a
personal trainer, and I love what I do.
Finding the time to get my workouts in was never an issue, until I
became a stay/work at home mom!

My daughter is a fun and active 2 year old and she keeps me
pretty busy during the day.
However, I have always made it a point to get my workouts in during the
day. She was about 6 weeks old
when I was cleared for light exercise, and I decided to just start slow with
walking on the treadmill at home.
The sound of the treadmill would lull her to sleep and I could just walk
and do some light weights. Once it
warmed up outside and I felt myself getting stronger I started walking 4 miles
outside everyday. This was perfect
for me because she would nap, I would get my workout and some sunshine
too! This was what really helped
me on my way to getting my pre-baby body back.

train clients at home. I would workout during her naps. For me it was just deciding to make the
time and commitment to get my workouts in. I felt better after a great workout and knew that I was
taking care of myself mentally and physically. Some days I would put her in her bouncy seat or exer-saucer
and do a Jillian Michaels video or do a strength training workout. She has gotten used to mommy workout
time, which I feel is setting a good example for her as she grows up.

try to make it fun for her so she grows up with a love for being active.

schedule a few workouts while she naps, but I miss her fun energy during those
workouts. I always decide the
night before what time I am going to get my workout in depending on what our
schedule is like. I always feel better
after a workout and that hour that I dedicate to taking care of me helps to
make me a better mom, wife and just overall happier!
