Bad run. Awesome shoes. |
Treadmill day! |
Just getting light at the end of our run… |
We’re hoping to get some decent runs in while she’s on vacation this week! It’s been tough to get together lately because she leaves for work early. All of our runs together take place at o’dark thirty. Zzzzzz… It was dark when we started on Thursday but we saw a ton of people out. Guess that’s what happens when it’s “warm” in December. Good times!
Just before heading out. |
We headed out, it was slick and the snow kept coming. It was relentless. It made for some fun conversation, and running in the snow always makes one feel more badass anyway, so it wasn’t a total flop of a run. But I decided I wasn’t going to continue the run after she split off. Because for the very same reason of feeling badass in the snow with a friend, running in a blizzard solo just seems crazy. #Amiright?
Lashicles! |
We split the difference and ran 6 miles together. It was her longest run to date with me as her coach. I felt like a proud mama. Overall it was a super fun morning run together. And I somehow wore the appropriate amount of apparel again. I’m getting kinda good at this!
Why is there so much snow?! |
Oh, also? The snow is completely gone again. Go figure!
This week it’s about maintenance. My first half marathon of the 2016 season is in April, which means training will start soon! I’m enjoying the time to chill and relax, but I’m also looking forward to the 2016 racing season. My calendar is filling up quickly!
TALK TO ME!
What’s your first race of 2016?
Will it be a white Christmas where you are?
