5 Things I’m Loving About the 4-in-1 Tactical Self Defense Tool from Survival Hax

May 19, 2017

Today’s topic for the Friday Five 2.0 linkup is all about fashion. I’m going to briefly state that my running fashion involves basics like race t-shirts and plain black shorts — and the rest of it is INKnBURN. As a former ambassador, I obviously love all things INK. You should check ’em out if you aren’t already familiar. Great quality, beautiful designs, and comfortable fabrics.

Now that you know about my apparel fashion, I’m going to tell you about my functional fashion — aka: how I stay safe on the run. As you know, I run with pepper spray, a dog, and lately, even a stick. I’m excited to tell you about my latest self-defense gadget because I think it’s going to be a game changer for me. I’ve been playing with the Tactical LED Pen with Glassbreaker from Survival Hax over the last few days and I must say, it’s an item I can’t believe I’ve been living without. Check it out:

I received the 4-in-1 tool at a deep discount in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

5 Things I’m Loving About the 4-in-1 Tactical Self Defense Tool from Survival Hax

1. It’s a pen.

Yes, you can write with it! And it uses ink cartridges so you never have to buy a new pen again. This is the most functional part of the tool since I’m more likely to write than break glass but I have tested it and it’s one of the best tactical pen for self defense. Sometimes I feel so unsafe whilst I’m running and this pen will definitely come in handy. Plus, it’s lightweight so it won’t weigh my down!

2. It’s a self defense tool.

It’s a self defense tool, and this is why I got it if I’m being honest. The 4-in-1 Tactial Self Defense tool is both a kubotan and glass breaker. If you remember my post from Tuesday, I’ve been running with a stick. Now I think I’ll be running with my new kubotan/glass breaker instead. It’s far and away a lot more sturdy than a stick. Plus the glass breaker tip is sharp if used correctly. My self defense instructor would be proud. It’s unlikely to be as effective as a handgun with a pistol red dot sights but then again, not a lot of things are. If you are looking for hardware for some more heavy-duty self-defense, perhaps you should research the products reviewed over on Ammoland.com for consideration.

When defending yourself, sometimes, even if you’re not the instigator, you may end up requiring legal defense for your actions. Ironic right? You may want to look for law firms who can help represent those facing charges like assault such as the Law Offices of Robert Tsigler.

3. It can be a lifesaver in a pinch.

This handy tool has a hidden ferrocerium fire starter and an LED flashlight. Plus with the glass breaker at the end, you can bust into any glass should you find yourself in that situation. The ferro fire starter is particularly important to me, though. Why, you ask? Because I plan on taking my family camping at least once this summer. Having a fire starter will be a great tool to have with me while we’re out in the woods.

4. It’s durable.

This 4-in-1 tactical tool is made from aircraft aluminum alloy and has a tungsten steel cone. It’s military grade and essentially indestructible. What’s not to love about that?

5. I don’t feel weird carrying it around.

The shape of the 4-in-1 tool is ergonomic and comfortable. I don’t feel awkward (or silly!) carrying it around or running with it. It has a nice pen clip so I can clip it on if I feel the need to free up one of my hands while I’m running — or I can clip it into my laptop case when I’m traveling or meeting people for work.

Stay safe on the run and carry this kubotan -- it masquerades as a pen! #SurvivalHax #runchat
