I’ve had some stuff on my mind lately. And total non-sequiter stuff, too, so it’s not like I could devote one entire post to any of the following statements. But since they’ve been on my mind, and since today I’m linking up for Thinking Out Loud, might as well spew it, no? Let’s go.
Running is fun. I literally love running. Love. There are no more words.
Changing blogging platforms is a HUGE headache. Huge. Never again. If you plan on doing it yourself, save yourself the migraines and just hire someone to do it for you. I’m still cleaning up the digital mess and likely will be for the foreseeable future. Also, if you follow me on Bloglovin and I haven’t been showing up, I apologize. The lovely folks over there are helping me sort the situation out. Should be back up and running soon! Thanks for bearing with me.
Sometimes when I have writer’s block, I procrastinate to the point of literally just staring at my computer screen. I don’t even surf the web. I just stare and do nothing like some magical idea is going to pop in my head and make my fingers start typing. Trolls maybe.
Other times I have an awesome idea but can’t figure out how to put it into words. I mean, I can put it into words in my head but as soon as I start typing them it just turns into a meandering mess of stream of consciousness. I think probably the Trolls again.
My friends’ husband thoughtfully bestowed some of this deliciousness on me after a somewhat in-depth conversation on the nutritional value (or possible lack thereof) of MREs. I decided to be my own nutritional study. This is gonna be fun. Wish me luck.
The Man and I went to see Blue Man Group over the weekend. It was pretty rad. Completely not what either one of us was expecting but it was worth it and I would definitely go see them again.
My kids are equal parts super adorbs and super annoying. I love them so much. I want to squish their faces. I also want to run away and never come home sometimes. #momprobs
POLITICS. DUMB! Who are these buffoons running our country?! I can’t even. Just. No. So much no.
Does it bother anyone that we’re legit living in The Day After Tomorrow?
My daughter (she’s not even 3), is really good at jigsaw puzzles. I shouldn’t be surprised because my son was great at them when he was tiny, too, but I think he was a little older. I’m thinking about getting them some personalised photo puzzles as gifts at some point this year so that they can put some favorite family photos together – how adorable would that be?! Both of these little tornadoes truly never cease to amaze me. Also, their ability to destroy a completely clean and organized room in less than 10 nanoseconds.
I’m really disappointed in our weather forecast for the weekend. It’s supposed to be in the single digits. I feel like I wasted all the good weather while I was on injured reserve. While I was home doing nothing, I could have been running in the sunshine. And now that I can run, it’s going to be bitterly cold? Bah humbug.
I love chocolate. Almost as much as running. Possibly more. This is a big problem for me because I’m trying to cut down on refined sugars. I feel like Valentine’s Day will be here and I’ll go big or go home, and then maybe I’ll be done with the sweets for a while? Gah — who am I kidding? Hahaha.
Every place I go, every blog I read, every Instagram photo I see, makes me add yet another race to my bucket list. My list is now several races deep. I get serious FOMO when I see other people racing them, too, even if they’re races I had never considered before. I want to #runalltheraces and #travelalltheplaces!
Those summarize a lot of my random thoughts for the week. I hope you’ve had equally awesome and random thoughts, too.
