A long, long time ago (okay, like a year and a half ago), I was given the opportunity to try out and review Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts. I was hooked. I still buy them to this day. They’re awesome on salads, in smoothies, on sandwiches, by the handful — like, literally, they’re amazing any way you want to eat them. Plus, they’re great for eating on the go as they are a great boost of nutrition.
Hemp is an amazing source of omega-3 and some derivatives like hemp oil are known to treat stress, anxiety, and inflammation. If you want to know more about other uses of hemp why not google “hemp store near me” and see for yourself. And because of all the advantages that hemp provides, maybe its popularity is soaring high. Recent studies reveal that the rising demand for industrial hemp in the food, construction, personal care, textile, and animal care industry is expected to boost the growth over the coming years. Additionally, the market for seeds is expected to expand at a CAGR of 19.8% on account of rising demand from application industries over the forecast period. Are you looking to buy marijuana seeds? Well, all you need to do is head over to a site like ILGM.com where you can find a wide variety of strains of hemp that you can use for your own kitchen creations. All being well, you’ll enjoy the fruits of your labor and who knows, you might even create something so delicious you could sell it!
There are an increasing number of entrepreneurs creating their own start-ups in the hemp business. It may be because hemp is so versatile and its uses are so diverse, ranging from shopping bags to shampoo, that these entrepreneurs are now looking for financial institutions that can provide hemp banking services. It can be understandable why the entrepreneurs are in a need of a separate account. As the business grows, managing finances become tougher. Having separate accounts can not only help in understanding the cash flow of the business but can also help in keeping an eye on the expenditures.
Anyway, coming back to the topic, I was recently given the opportunity to try out their latest and greatest of hemp inventions — of course featuring the essential hemp hearts. This time they’re not just hemp hearts in a bag — they’re hemp hearts in a bar! Booyah! Enter the Manitoba Harvest Hemp Heart Bar.
I’m a bit of a “bar” connoisseur, if you will. One thing you may not know about me is that I used to own an online organic snack food business. We sold pre-packaged bars, dried fruits, nuts — even organic soaps and lip balms. Through the process of finding and buying product for our store, my husband and I became a bit of what I fondly refer to as “Bar Snobs.” We tasted everything we sold and if we didn’t like it, it didn’t make the cut. Everything had to be non-GMO and delicious. If our kiddo liked it, it was definitely in. Organic was a plus but since everything had to be non-GMO, we knew the organic piece would come along with it most of the time. We sought out smaller brands (and some larger, too) that had a personal stake in what they were selling. We found some amazing brands along the way. The bottom line — they had to be quality products before we even considered selling them on our site.
When I received the Hemp Heart Bars I was taken back to my bar taste-testing days. It was a nice memory so I’m glad I could go back there. The Hemp Heart Bars are a gem. I can say that with confidence. They’re filling, they’re tasty, and they pack a crazy nutritional punch. They’re also non-GMO Project Verified, kosher, and vegan. Each bar contains 10 grams of plant-based protein and 10 grams of omegas. They’re perfect for pre-workout snacks and as bars on-the-go. They reminded me of those hemp topicals (see at www.guardianathletic.com/collections/hemp-topicals) a friend of mine would use after his workouts.
Hemp Heart Bars are available in three different flavors — vanilla, chocolate, and apple cinnamon. I tried the chocolate and apple cinnamon and between the two, I much prefer the apple cinnamon bar. It’s so, so good. I gave Little Bee a taste of the chocolate flavor and she adored it. They’re incredibly delicious.
Bottom line — would I recommend Hemp Heart Bars to family and friends? And total strangers? Totes. They’re amazing. If I still had my store I would sell them there, too.
Want a box of your own? Great news, my friends. Manitoba Harvest is running a photo contest! Each month they’re choosing one lucky winner to win a box of Hemp Heart Bars! A new winner will be chosen every month and the contest is open to US and Canadian residents. It’s easy to enter. All you have to do is tag @manitobaharvest #hempheartbar #fuelledbyhemp #sweatpink and @fitapproach for your chance to win.
And if you’re antsy like I am and can’t wait to see if you’ve won the contest or not, you can use discount code hhbarlaunch1015 at checkout for 15% off your purchase.
I hope you give these bars a try. They’re amazing, healthy, and they taste good, too.
