Taekwando and Pedicures

January 15, 2015
I post about runner safety a lot but it’s something that’s constantly on my mind. My son is a new student to taekwando. The studio also offers adult classes. Despite advice not to cross-train with any activity that moves side to side during marathon training, I’m planning on giving taekwando a test drive. I’ll keep in mind not to exert myself too much, but since safety is my number one priority I figure I should arm myself as best I can.
In other news, I took a bath the other night (such a treat!) and I slept like a rock. It was amazing. Baths are underrated. I’ll be treating myself more often going forward.
Know what else is underrated? Pedicures. Another activity I’ll be treating myself to as training gets tougher and runs get longer. Or maybe I’ll just wait until after the marathon and go big with a spa day afterward. Go big or go home? Or go small and go a lot? Potato, potahto.
Saturday marks the official end of week 1 of marathon training. I’m exhausted and it’s only Thursday. Uh oh…
Have a happy Thursday!
xo
Have you taken martial arts? How did you like it?
Bath or shower?
Pedi or mani?
