26.2: I found you!

December 31, 2014
Ever have buyer’s remorse? But not like, immediately. More like, say… several days later? Yeah, I’m kinda having one of those moments:

Thank god for my husband talking me off the ledge… And no, I’ve never tried to talk myself out of something. I know better. 🙂
I never made an official announcement. But if you read yesterday’s post or follow me on Instagram, then you may have picked up that I bit the bullet and signed up for my first ever full marathon. I’ll be running the Cleveland Marathon on May 17, 2015. I’m completely, 100% freaking out.
But I don’t have time for that. Nope, sure don’t. I’m not really having buyer’s remorse. Just a brief moment of panic, that’s all. This too shall pass.
I will hold my head up high, take on the training that will unceremoniously kick off on January 15, and put in the miles so that I can finish what I started. Mind games and all.
26.2.
Let’s do this.
~~~
In other, much more exciting news, Boo and I decorated our gingerbread house today. Yes, yes — we know it’s a week past Christmas. But it’s the fun that counts, not the day! We had a blast, and it turned out pretty nifty, too.
Check out our awesome house!
It snowed here for a hot (cold?) minute. Boo was thrilled. Mama was not.
Snow!
And now it’s almost New Year’s Eve. I’m amazed how quickly this year went by. What are your plans for the evening? Our plans are always low key and this year include a delectable cheese fondue and shrimp cocktail dinner, complete with sparkling grape juice for the kids and sparkling wine for the grown ups. Dessert will be Christmas cookies, and bedtime will be 7 pm, 8 pm, and 10 pm. And then… wait for it… I’m going to kick of 2015 right with a run and a mimosa. 😉
HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y’ALL!! Have a safe and phenomenal evening with family and friends. See you in 2015!
xo
Have you ever signed up for a race so unbelievably out of your comfort zone and had buyer’s remorse?
Have you run a marathon?
