Because I’m Happy!

April 8, 2014
I have a love-hate relationship with my yoga instructor. She’s not technically my instructor since she’s online, but she’s mine because I see her once a week. She’s so tall and flexible and she just makes me look bad. I’m glad I don’t take a real class from her, because then we would have problems.
This morning I did the power yoga class. It really irritated me. I’m so darn uncoordinated! When will this change?! I’ve actually done this sequence a couple of times before and always got annoyed and switched it off. This time I powered through and did every pose, albeit slightly less gracefully than my teacher, but I still did it anyway. We will see how sore I am tomorrow!
Speaking of being sore, I’ve recently added a bunch of exercises to my strength training days, and was extremely sore after the first two workouts, but I haven’t been ever since. I think it’s time to up the ante again! More weight or more reps. I’m sure I will ask my husband and he will give me some nerdy workout answer to adopt the perfect strength workout.
Can I tell you how much I am looking forward to warmer weather? I can’t wait to run outside again when it’s not snowing, it’s not raining, and it’s above 40˚. Seriously. I’ve heard that Ohioans incessantly complain about the weather. No kidding, right? How can we not?!
This week of training will be fun. I get to do 400s (speedwork), a 4 mile run at half marathon pace, a 9 miler this weekend, and a 4.5 mile run, too. Seems like a lot of running, no? Just another day in the life. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I almost forgot. I have recently been accepted into the I’m Fit Possible Ambassador program. I’m really excited. What does that mean for you? It means I continue to be your (and my!) fitness cheerleader! Being connected with like-minded fitness junkies allows me to pass along information and fitness tips to you. Great stuff!
I hear the munchkin waking up, so I guess I need to put my “mom” hat back on. Be happy today, guys!
