What would I buy all over again? Great question. I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity, which means I rarely buy new things. When I do, I’m usually happy with my purchase. It’s not foolproof, of course. I definitely have some things I wish I hadn’t spent money on at all, but for the most part I like what I buy. I’ll tell you about my shopping failures next week. But for today, here are five things I’d totally buy again!

There May Be A Few Things I’d Buy Again…
1. prAna Martina Long Jacket
I went to the sporting goods store looking for a running jacket and instead ended up with the Martina Long Jacket by prAna. It’s amazing. I love it. It’s warm but lightweight. It has zippers in both directions. Plus the pockets are zip-pockets which is huge when you’re a mom-on-the-go. It’s a huge upgrade from my tried-and-true jackets. I would totally buy this one again.
2. Marine Corps Marathon registration
I would absolutely, 100% buy my Marine Corps Marathon registration again. And I hope I get to in 2017! It was a fantastic race and though it hurt and I was injured, if given the opportunity, I can’t wait to do it all over again. It was legit one of the funnest races I’ve ever run.
3. My dog
That’s right. I would totally buy my dog again. She was a rescue from a local shelter. And while she did cost a lot of money, we felt good knowing we were saving her from a shelter-life. She has the best disposition in the world. She’s great with the kids, she’s really laid back, and she loves running. (We’re working on upping her mileage during these next couple of months — so far, so good!) She’s a keeper. And I would totally buy her all over again.
4. Nike Shield 2.0 Running Jacket
Remember when I said I went to the store looking for a running jacket but ended up with a different one? Two weeks later I ended up at the sporting goods store again, this time with my friend to help her find winter-running apparel. Well guess what? They finally had running jackets in stock. I quickly spotted the Nike Shield 2.0 Running Jacket. Since I literally had just purchased an expensive piece of outerwear, I went back and forth on this one for quite some time. I finally decided to bring it home and make a decision later. I took it on a run the next day and I was instantly smitten. Built-in mittens, thumbholes, DWR on the front, sleeves, and yolk. Zippered pockets. Windproof in all the critical areas. Yeah, you better believe you’ll see this one again on my holiday gift guide.
5. Garmin Forerunner 620
I recently upgraded from my Garmin Forerunner 15 to the Garmin Forerunner 620. The 15 was amazing. Easy to use, nothing complicated — in other words, no bells and whistles. But it was fantastic for what I needed. The 15 is a great entry-level watch. Buuuuut, it pooped out on me twice during marathons (short battery life, long marathon runner… not a good combo) so I needed something that would last a bit longer. Thankfully with the help of my coach, I was able to buy a used Garmin Forerunner 620 for a very reasonable price, and now that I have it I’m very pleased. I haven’t even gotten into all the features of it yet (there are so many), but I’m really enjoying it so far.
I’m definitely picky when it comes to spending money. Most of the time I make wise choices. Though my husband would be quick to point out that most of the time isn’t all of the time… tomato, tomahdo. At least when I buy, it’s quality over quantity so I know it will last for years!
Thank you guys for linking up week after week. It’s been a really fun first month of the Friday Five 2.0. I’ve loved reading all of your posts and finding new bloggers to follow. Thanks 🙂
