Do you follow me on Facebook? If not, you should. A while ago I saw this photo floating around the internet and posted it to the Running on Happy Facebook page.
I thought it was hilarious. Because it is. I still laugh every time I see it. Anyways, I really wanted one! It took me forever and a day to find it, though. But when I did, I was more than satisfied. This shirt is made by the company RUNtelligence. I was on their website for some time because, as it turns out, they’re quite the comedians over there and have a plethora of hilarious shirts to choose from. I reached out to the owner, Larry, who sent me one of these awesome shirts for review! And created a discount code for my readers to boot! Larry is super nice, and he told me a lot about the company and where they get their inspiration from to create these great shirts.
When I received my shirt in the mail, I was so pumped. Larry had warned me that it would appear to be a cotton shirt, but assured me it is indeed a tech shirt. And he was right. I opened it up and showed it to my brother who was in visiting from PHX. He immediately thought it was a cotton shirt! It feels like cotton. It looks like cotton. But it wears like a wicking tech shirt! Best of both worlds.
I proudly sported my new “This seems like a lot of work for a free banana” shirt on a snappy 3-miler around my neighborhood, and then again on a 5+ miler with one of my good friends. Both times that I’ve worn it so far, I have been more than pleased. It is super comfortable, the color I received is this awesome lime green, which I love, and with it’s comical attributes, I can’t help but giggle while I run! I’m sure I look quite coordinated… The lime green is bright so I feel like I’m highly visible to motorists, too.
Getting ready to run in my “This seems like a lot of work for a free banana” t-shirt! |
You should check out RUNtelligence. There are so many funny shirts to choose from. I think my next one will be “Running: Not just from the police anymore.” Not that I ever ran from the police. Well, maybe once. We don’t have to talk about that. (I kid, I kid!)
The one thing I don’t love about this shirt is there seems to be quite a few loose threads. Loose threads are usually harmless but they still make me nervous. Other than that, it’s great!
So… bottom line — would I recommend RUNtelligence shirts to a friend? YES YES YES!!!!! They are so funny! Would I give a RUNtelligence shirt as a gift? Totes.
I mentioned up there / that I had a discount code! Use discount code HAPPY to receive FREE SHIPPING now through June 30th.
Thanks again to Larry and RUNtelligence for providing me this piece of comic relief to my otherwise somewhat serious running wardrobe! 🙂
Have a great day, friends!
