Happy Friday! Here I am. Ta da! I almost didn’t think I would make it. This week has been hellacious, to say the least. Starting last Friday night/Saturday morning, my family was hit hard with some really icky germs. It finally made it’s way to me yesterday and I was literally in bed for 21 hours straight with a fever. I wasn’t sure there was going to be a Friday for me this week!
But I survived. I’m fever-free. Still weak and tired, but the fever is gone (at least for now). Phew!
As such, the time I would have been preparing my blog post for today was instead spent in bed sleeping. Since today’s topic for the Friday Five is fitness, I’m gathering my top five fitness posts of 2016 to make things easy! Plus it’s fun to go back to read some of the favorites. 🙂
You guys really liked this post about muscle imbalance and muscle memory. And I’m glad, too, because it’s so super important when it comes to good running form!
2. What’s the “Right” Way to Run was your second favorite post. Again, really important info in this one. Of course there’s no “right” way to run, just some ways that may be better than others — for some people.
3. Five Fitness Trends Worth Trying
It’s so funny looking back on this post because at the time I hadn’t tried HIIT or Tabata workouts. Now that I have, I’m so happy that I tried them. They’re life-changing!
4. BeFit 30-Day Workout Program is the one I’m referring to above. And also your fifth favorite post of mine in 2016! I’m really digging the whey protein, by the way. I make every smoothie with it now. Don’t forget to enter to win some of your own!
I love talking about running and I’m thankful you guys like reading about it! I’m pining for the days I can get back to saying “Track Tuesday” and actually get out there on the track for some sprints and drills!
There you have it — my top 5 fitness posts of 2016! I hope you enjoyed them.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend, my friends. And no getting sick! Because it sucks!
