Blue and Yellow and Other Favorites [Friday Five]

April 15, 2016

Happy Friday, y’all! Today’s Friday Five theme is “favorites” and since we’re closing in on Marathon Monday, I thought I’d share five of my favorite things running:

Blue and Yellow and Other Favorites

1. Blue and yellow.

Yeah, that’s right. I love blue and yellow. Well, mostly just blue. It’s my favorite color. But yellow is my dad’s favorite color so by default I love it, too.

2. The Boston Marathon

Know what else? Blue and yellow are the colors of the Boston Marathon. And I love running. Therefore, the Boston Marathon is my favorite.

3. Michigan

And know what else?! (This is like the Kevin Bacon game, no?) Blue and yellow happen to be the colors of Michigan. Both of my parents went to Michigan! So Michigan is my favorite. (Okay, technically IU is my favorite but we won’t tell anyone.)

4. Running.

Since Marathon Monday’s coming up, and the Boston Marathon is a running race, I’m going to celebrate by running. Running is definitely my favorite.

5. D.C.

Unfortunately for Boston, D.C. is my favorite city. Also, I’ve never been to Boston. Simultaneous LOL and whomp whomp! Guess I should change that in the near future.

I hope you enjoyed this awesome game of 6 degrees of blue and yellow separation — or whatever you want to call it. I had fun!

Sending so many awesome happy unicorn running vibes to my Boston-bound running peeps. Have a BLAST! You’ve worked hard — now enjoy it!
