It’s Thursday. I’m gonna get right down to it.
I’m sitting here trying to blog but my puppy is whining and pacing the room, which is highly distracting to say the least. I swear I’ve started this particular blog post about 85 times already and I’m sure I’ll scrap it and start at least once more. If this post doesn’t make sense, that’s why.
Onward!
This has been a really weird week. As predicted, my week of running has suffered. Hopefully by the time you read this I will have gotten at least one run in this week but who knows how that’ll pan out.
I’ve decided that as much as I love a good sunrise, I can’t get enough sunset either. It’s just so darn beautiful, don’t you think?
My dogs are cute but as mentioned above, my puppy drives me crazy. She does some really gross weird stuff that I won’t even mention here. And she chews on my daughter’s brand new princess shoes. And my son’s toys. And pretty much anything that gets in her way. Sticks, legs, rocks. You know, that sort of thing.
I’ve been totally digging Core Fruit Infused beverages lately. I’m usually a water and coffee only kind of gal but for whatever reason, I’ve had a craving for these delicious drinks. Look for a full review coming soon.
I also have to tell you about my new wedding band. See, I love my wedding rings. I spent what felt like forever searching for them. My engagement ring, which is similar to a 2 carat oval engagement ring, is a peculiar shape so it was really tough finding something that fit with it and actually fit comfortably. I love my engagement ring and wouldn’t change it for the world so it was really important that I found the right wedding band to pair with it, rather than having mismatched, uncomfortable rings. Shops, magazines, online – I searched them all. What I wanted was quite particular, so it took a while to find. I eventually stumbled across HARUNI.COM and fell in love with a ring. That was it then, I had to have it. And still to this day I’m glad I chose it. However, both my rings are a little big. One I can easily get resized but haven’t out of sheer laziness. The other is very intricate and very old (my great grandmother’s) so it’s a bit more difficult to get resized. So instead, I’ve just been wearing rings that are too big for the last almost 8 years. But the thing is, I never wear them unless I’m going out in public. I don’t wear them at home because they’re a nuisance and I worry about them falling off into a drain. I also don’t like the idea of accidentally scratching one of my children with them. Kids have delicate skin!
So anyway — I have a point here — I finally decided to get “sporty” wedding bands for my husband and I and they finally came and I have to say… I’m in love! I love them. They’re comfortable, they’re the perfect size for both of us, they’re an awesome color, and I’m not uber paranoid about scratching someone or losing it. Plus if I do lose it, it won’t break the bank to replace. You can even get custom silicone rings which you can design yourself. I also feel comfortable running and working out with it on. They may not be beautiful in the shiny and sparkly sense, but they’re beautiful and awesome. Definitely winning in the ring department.
