Friday Favorites [Friday Five]

March 18, 2016

I’m so relieved it’s Friday. Whoop whoop!

Today I’m sharing my five favorite things from this week. It was kind of a weird week but in a really great way, so I’m glad about that. I think I’m still experiencing the runner’s high from Sunday, to be honest. But I’ll take it! Here are my five favorite things about this week:

1. The weather

While the weather wasn’t particularly awesome, it also wasn’t particularly awful, either. Which, being in northeast Ohio during March, can really swing on either side of the pendulum, that’s for sure.

2. I got to run outside!

I ran outside for — wait for it… — every run this week! No treadmill for me. Wahoo!

An outside run AND a run in my CLE Marathon ambassador shirt? Win!

3. My meals

Yeah, that’s right. I’m giving kudos to myself because I cooked up some fabulous meals this week. Granted one night my husband actually did the cooking, but I did all the prep work from the chopping to the spice-mixing. I also wrote down detailed cooking instructions for him for one of the recipes. Look for that one coming soon!

4. Time with friends!

I got to run with my Julie on Thursday which, despite the dark, is always a treat. Plus I got to spend time with my gal pal, Jess! I definitely won on the time-with-friends-sans-kids front this week.

5. Democracy

Call me a poli-sci nerd, but I love the democratic process. It’s so much fun to take an active role in voting for and electing candidates to political office. Little Bee and I headed to the polls on Tuesday and voted our little hearts out.

TALK TO ME!

Did you vote in the presidential primaries?

Have you had good running weather this week?
