Meatless Monday: Blueberry Banana Recovery Smoothie

January 18, 2016
Happy Monday! As you know, I’m thoroughly obsessed with my Ninja. I use it for chopping, pureeing, smoothie-ing — even making pasta sauce. It’s so convenient and easy to manage.
One of my favorite go-to smoothies of all time is what I’ve affectionately named the Blueberry Banana Recovery Smoothie. It’s amazing. Like dessert in a to-go cup amazing. But it’s not dessert. It’s actually really healthy. With the added electrolyte drink it’s a perfect balance of protein to carb, plus fluid and electrolyte replacement. I make this smoothie as a post-workout recovery drink, and in the afternoons if I’m starving but don’t feel like taking the time to make a veggie sandwich or whip up a giant salad, I add a handful of spinach to balance the vegetable to fruit ratio. I’ve actually only made the smoothie for lunch once but it was delicious!

Check it out and tell me what you think!
Blueberry Banana Recovery Smoothie
Ingredients
  • 1 banana, torn into bite sized slices
  • 1 clementine, sectioned
  • 1/4 C frozen blueberries
  • 1/4 C Wallaby Organic Greek vanilla bean yogurt
  • 1/8 C Nooma blueberry peach electrolyte drink
  • optional: handful of spinach

Directions
Combine all ingredients and puree until smooth. Drink and enjoy! Makes 1 serving.

Have a great day, lovelies!
