I’m so excited Halloween’s coming up. This weekend my playgroup had our annual Halloween Bash. This was our 6th year! (I can’t believe how quickly time is flying.) It’s such a fun event. All the kids dress up and most of the parents dress up, too. This year we had warm “spiced” cider, witches broomsticks, ghosts (both cookie and banana options), cheesepuffs, veggies, pizza — so much awesomeness under one roof, I can’t even remember what else!
One of my favorite Halloween treats to make for our annual bash are white chocolate dipped cookie ghosts. They’re so simple to make and so delicious. Plus they look super cute! I’ve posted this recipe before but this one is a simplified version. Feel free to check out both!
If you’ve got a Halloween party coming up, or as a fun treat for your kids to take to school (or better yet, take them to work!), these are the perfect creative, sweet treat! Enjoy!
Nutter Butter Ghosts
Melt the white chocolate: Pour the white chocolate chips into a medium bowl. Set your microwave to 50-60% power, and melt in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval. Continue stirring until the bowl is no longer warm and the white chocolate is smooth.
Once your chocolate is melted, dip one side of the Nutter Butters into the melted chocolate, scrape off excess chocolate, and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place two of the mini chocolate chips in place for eyes. Let cool and dry.
Tip: I usually only dip 3-4 ghosts at a time, so the white chocolate doesn’t dry and harden before you have a chance to place the eyes on.
Store in an airtight container.
