5 Things I Was Doing 10 Years Ago [Friday Five Link-Up]

June 26, 2015
Happy Friday! WE MADE IT! I honestly thought this weekend was never gonna come. Remember that real estate post I just posted? Yeah.
Well here we are. Friday. Yippee! This week I thought I’d link up for the Friday Five with Cynthia from You Signed Up For WHAT?!, Courtney from Eat Pray Run, DC and Mar from Mar on the Run.

The topic this week is “Five Things I Was Doing 10 Years Ago.”

Ten years ago is kind of a blur. But I’ll see what I can remember. 10 years ago I was…
1. Working as an Outdoor Apparel Specialist and then Visual Manager at Galyan’s Trading, Co. Anyone remember that store? There are plenty of you that do. But for those of you that don’t, Galyan’s was a higher-end sporting goods store. Think Sports Authority or Dick’s Sporting Goods but with the expensive stuff like Arc’teryx and Marmot. It was awesome.

2. Living in a beautiful, old three-family home in Cleveland Heights, Ohio on the border of East Cleveland. If you don’t know anything about those areas, it’s probably better that way. Cleveland Heights is an amazing, historic inner-ring suburb of Cleveland. East Cleveland is so run-down and crime-ridden that it should be absorbed by the surrounding communities to make it a better place to live and work. It was a great little home. But I’m glad I don’t live there anymore.

3. Still smoking! As a young 20-something I had little regard for health, fitness, and longevity. I smoked. I drank. I stayed up way too late. Now I know better.
4. Living with my then-boyfriend, now-husband. Who knew! Oh I remember the days when we first met and we were so shy around each other, then before you knew it, we’d been together for one year and I was searching on places like giftunicorn.com for a nice little anniversary gift for him! I blinked, and now here were are 10 years later, married and in our own home – I couldn’t be happier!

Look at these baby faces!

5. Driving a mustard-yellow, two-door Honda Civic. It was an amazing car and I loved it. The official color of the car was Inca Pearl. I miss it. 🙂

What about YOU? What’s one of your favorite memories from 10 years ago?

Have a stellar weekend, loves!
