Back in the CLE

April 24, 2015
Happy Friday!
I’m back in the CLE. Home, sweet home. We arrived home late last night, and upon waking this morning, I noticed a lot of trees have bloomed! Spring has officially sprung, even if it is a crisp 38˚F.
Yesterday we spent our remaining hours hiking Pinnacle Peak.
Hiking Pinnacle Peak!

Then we went to the pool and then the playground. We were quite busy!

Golf!

Papa and Boo “playing” chess.
Our flight back was ridiculous. Mostly because the flight was full and there was no room for any of us to move. In contrast, on our flight out there were several open seats so we were able to spread out a bit. We didn’t buy a seat for Little Bee since she’s under 2, which was fine on the way there. But on the way home we were quite cramped. And with two over-tired kids, it makes for a super ride home. (Note sarcasm…)
This did NOT happen the entire 3-hr flight.

Beautiful.
Now to get back to the grind. On deck today are several loads of laundry, a grocery run, and if there’s time, I’ll try to fit in a quick 5-miler. I ended up getting sick on vaca — one crazy cold virus knocked me out with a fever for a full day — and I’m still clearing out all the congestion. I’m scheduled to run a 20-miler tomorrow with my friendly Julie, so hopefully I’ll be feeling up to it more than I am now.
Other than that, being home is both bitter and sweet. Bitter because we left the super sunny, warm state of Arizona, and my family. Sweet because let’s face it, it’s fantastic to sleep in your own bed.
Have a super weekend, friends!

Tell me… do you love traveling? Or are you a homebody?
