A day in the life… with kids.

January 7, 2015
I’m exhausted, guys. If you are kid-less and considering having children — don’t!!! They will make you tired in ways you can’t possibly fathom! And your house will look like this:

And it’s not acceptable, people!
But then you have magical quiet afternoons when everyone is getting along and you get to make these with your babies:

The World’s Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie. (Recipe coming soon.)
Later, you walk into your bedroom to grab your watch and you see this on your floor:
Baby princess, tucked in for naptime.

And maybe you’ll hear your toddler calling “I love you” (in mumbled toddler-speak which is basically just a bunch of consonants thrown together in indecipherable order) to your older child, who inevitably calls “I love you” back. And then your heart melts.
But then you turn the corner moments later to see this:

You roll your eyes, sit down on the floor, give up, and start blogging.

Happy Hump Day!
xo

P.S. If you’re following along with my Planks, Push-Ups and Burpees Challenge, today is REST DAY. Get ready because tomorrow we are planking for a minute and a half.
