The Ultimate 2014 Holiday Gift Giving Guide (for athletes)

November 13, 2014
It’s almost the most happiest time of the year — and it seems like lots of us are already gearing up for the holidays!
I’ve been both fielding and asking a lot of questions about the most wanted, and the most practical, gifts of the season for yogis, runners, and fitness junkies in general. I’ve compiled what I believe to be one of the most helpful lists of gifts for any person with an active lifestyle. I have already done my Christmas shopping, so I’m feeling quite organised at the minute. I’ve bought my husband an Invicta Pro Diver watch (he has a huge watch collection!) and my kids an Xbox to share. It’s so exciting and i can’t wait for Christmas! So without any further ado, I bring you The Ultimate 2014 Holiday Gift Giving Guide (for athletes)!

For the ladies:
Sequencials ClimaHeat Tights by adidas
Cold-weather running is completely doable in these awesome tights made with ClimaHeat insulation. ClimaHeat wicks moisture and traps warmth to keep you warm and dry.
Cozy Crew by Under Armour
The Cozy Crew by Under Armour is a crowd favorite. Featuring fleece lining and thumbholes, it’s perfect for cold weather comfort.
Yaktrax
Who doesn’t need a pair of Yaktrax? The runner in your life will be forever grateful for traction easily strapped on. Icy conditions are no longer a problem when you strap on a pair of Yaktrax.
TransWarmer Mittens by Nathan Sports
Marketed to runners, these convertible mittens are great for anyone on your gift-giving list. Perfect for driving, outdoor shopping, running, or cross-country skiing, they are versatile and comfortable.

Camisoles by INKnBURN
Is the lady in your life stylish and creative? She may fall in love with INKnBURN. INKnBURN apparel is all technical — don’t let the designs fool you — and made entirely in the United States. Made of moisture-wicking, micro poly, these camisoles are perfect for running, yoga, and CrossFit. But buyer beware: once you buy one, you will want to buy more. And be sure to check out the INKnBURN Holiday “Sweater.”
Yoga Mat by Aspen Yoga Mats
These yoga mats are eco-friendly, practical, and well-designed. Aspen Yoga Mats are made in Aspen, CO and with a nice design assortment to choose from, the yogi in your life will love one.
Inspirational Jewelry by Momentum
Momentum is the creator of amazing inspirational jewelry. Meant to be worn during exercise, these bracelets and charms are durable and uplifting.

For the gents:

UA Storm Armour Hoodie by Under Armour
Finished with a DWR, this awesome hoodie repels water while keeping you warm and dry. Many uses include running, wearing to/from the gym, or running errands on the weekends. Any man would be proud to sport this hoodie around town. If you’re looking for something a little more personal, why not consider personalized Hoodies; they make a great gift and can even come themed to some of the world’s most popular franchises, like Marvel!
S200 ZD Run Jacket by Fusion
This highly technical jacket by Fusion is waterproof and windproof. There are vent pockets to change the breathability levels, as well as reflective panels for night safety. The S200 ZD Run Jacket is perfect for the cold-weather runner.
Ironman ONE GPS+ by Timex
For the tech junkie, triathlete, runner, or cyclist, the ONE GPS+ by Timex is an amazing new piece of technology. With GPS, messaging, music, and more, this watch is a one-stop shop. Leave the phone at home and stay connected on your run.
Wireless Headphones by Jabra
With full Dolby sound, the Jabra Sport Wireless earbuds allow you to play/pause music, change tracks, control the volume, and yes, even take calls all while working out. Easy, no fuss, no wires. I love wireless earbuds and I am even thinking of treating myself to some new ones! If you want to buy some wireless bluetooth headphones (or comprar auriculares inalambricos bluetooth as they’d say in Spain), do lots of research. You won’t regret it! Before I buy any new gadgets, I always check out some product reviews to make sure I am making the right decision. If you would like to read some wireless earbud reviews you can click here.
CrossFit Shoes by Reebok
Is your guy into CrossFit? Check his shoes. With CrossFit specific shoes, he’ll be able to execute more clean & jerks than ever before.
Nike Pro Combat Core Fitted Shirt by Nike
Perfect for training, running, and even yoga, the Nike Pro Combat Core Fitted shirt is made for function with a hint of fashion. The breathable fabric employed by Nike is soft and comfortable so focus is centered on workouts, not itchy seams.

And that, my friends, is The Ultimate 2014 Gift Giving Guide (for athletes). Any questions?
And hey, if you have something to add to make this an even better list, please share and I’ll add your suggestion!
Happy Shopping!
