August 7, 2014

Have you ever had a tough week of training or… well… life? All the more reason to keep on keepin’ on, get your body in motion, and get happy. Here are 19 Reasons to Get Off Your Butt and Move!

Have you ever had a tough week of training or... well... life? All the more reason to keep on keepin' on, get your body in motion, and get happy. Here are 19 Reasons to Get Off Your Butt and Move! -Running on Happy

19 Reasons to Get Off Your Butt and Move!

1. Increased cardiovascular strength.

Who doesn’t want a stronger heart?

2. Endorphin rush.

Ah, the endorphin rush. Endorphins are amazing.

3. Overall feeling of well being.

Long after the “rush” has subsided, you will continue to feel happier more often.

4. You have nothing better to do.

Bored? Go for a run. Or a walk. Or to the gym. How about some yoga?

5. To socialize.

Being fit is a surprisingly social affair. Unless you don’t want it to be. Then you can exercise alone and reap the benefits of some time inside your brain. But if you want a partner, someone is always willing to workout or run with you!

6. That extra 30 minutes of sleep in the morning won’t really make that much of a difference.

It won’t. Trust me.

7. You’re not getting any younger…

…but exercise can help you age gracefully.

8. Working out helps you sleep better. 🙂
9. Strong is handsome and beautiful.
10. You’ll set a great example for your children.

And if you don’t have children, you’ll set an amazing example for nieces, nephews — pretty much anyone younger than you!

11. Sex is better!
12. It’s fun to be in competition with yourself.

I’m supposed to plank for how long?!

I bet I’ll be able to plank for longer tomorrow.

13. It’s fun to be in competition with your partner.

“I did 30 crunches this morning.”

“Oh yeah? I’ll do 50 this evening.”

14. A good run is great therapy.
15. Pumping iron relieves stress and anxiety.
16. Bad day? Take it out on the punching bag.
17. To see the sun rise.
18. To see the sun set.
19. To see tomorrow.

Have you ever had a tough week of training or... well... life? All the more reason to keep on keepin' on, get your body in motion, and get happy. Here are 19 Reasons to Get Off Your Butt and Move! -Running on Happy
