Let me just tell you something. Preparing for a sale, listing the house, and then showing the house are a TON of work. Holy. Moly. Cleaning, purging, vacuuming, painting, signing papers, cleaning windows, scrubbing floors… Dragging kids around, dropping dogs off at friends’ houses, missing nap time, skipping blog time… Enough is enough, people! The people need a rest! And it’s only been four days… Sigh… I kind of wish I just sold our home using these in Tucson – Done Deal Buyers, or a company similar that could have made this whole process a little quicker. We might have been able to rest by now.
End rant.

Today was awesomesauce. It started as less than awesomesauce. It was more saucy than awesome. But as the day progressed, some awesome was added. Hence how we ended up at awesomesauce.
I ran around the house like a turkey trying to escape Thanksgiving dinner, and somehow hauled both kids out with a car full of whoknowswhat in time before our realtor arrived for a Brokers Open today. We met up with friends at Chick-fil-A (don’t judge, I’ve been promising my son for a week now) before the lunch rush hit (so proud — gave myself a pat on the back for this one), ordered our lunch and was waiting for our food, and BAM! I got a call from our realtor. We left the front screen door locked. She couldn’t get to the lock box. FOR REAL!?! Luckily my friend is a SAINT, and she happily (?) watched my kids for me while I hauled ass back to my house to let our realtor in.
Then I rushed back to eat and found Boo playing with his buddy, and Little Bee still happily eating lunch in her stroller. Glorious. After lunch we headed over to the sprayground and the kids had a grand ol’ time. It was hot and windy. Perfection.
After a couple of hours of sprayground time, I got the call from our realtor that we could come home and here we are. Little Bee is napping, and Boo is having rest time. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was napping, too. We are all spent.
It occurred to me I haven’t posted much about my running lately. I guess I feel my runs are inconsequential now that I’m not officially training for any big races. In any event, I’ve been trying to keep an average distance of roughly 20 miles per week. Last week was kind of a dud. I topped out at 12 I think. Many running friends have been complaining about the humidity lately, but I must say, I went out for a super warm and sticky run this morning and it was AMAZING. I love running when it’s warm out. Most likely because I loathe running when it’s cold out!
I hope y’all had an awesome day. What have you been up to? I’ve got a fun review lined up for tomorrow! Can’t wait to share. 🙂
See ya!
