Nature Walk Field Trip!

May 22, 2014
People, today has been EXHAUSTING. I can’t believe it’s almost 3:00 pm and I’m just now getting five minutes to sit down. Ah!
Yesterday I ran 2 miles and I felt great, until I came home and started doing squats. Then my knee started hurting. I was planning on running again this morning but I decided not to push it and take another day off. I’m so glad I did. I literally have not stopped moving since 8:00 am. I made my daughter skip her morning nap so we could accompany Boo’s class on a field trip to the park across the street from his school. It was beautiful weather, and the kids were going on a nature walk, so it was a nice little adventure for us. The field trip didn’t start until 10, and I knew I was going to have to work hard to keep her up (nap time is at 9), so we headed out to Target to buy some necessities and waste some time.

Little Bee won a prize at Target and she was soooooooo happy. It really was the cutest. She held her baby tight all morning, and when Boo tried to “see it” (aka take it from her) she would cry. Finally, a toy of her own that she loves!
The nature walk was a success. The kids had a great time and the weather was perfect. And we even spotted two deer. And they didn’t chase me this time. Win!
After the field trip, I rushed my kids home for a quick lunch and immediate nap for Little Bee. She barely ate, which I knew would happen, and was asleep before 1. Poor girl. I have a million things to be doing right now, but first things first. I must sit.
I’m hoping this weekend will have just as amazing weather as today’s. And I can’t wait to run again. I hope my knee doesn’t hurt. Wish me luck!
Have a great day!
