This awesome company, Asher Organics (www.asherorganics.com), recently made it’s appearance at the forefront of organic and natural snack foods, granola and trail mix bars, and skin care items.
As our families grow and expand, and we absorb more and more knowledge about where our food is coming from, it is becoming more apparent and clear that the health of our families are at risk. It’s impossible to escape keywords of the news as of late. Words such as: GMOs, Monsanto, pink slime, Beef Products, Inc., and parabens. These key words each have lasting and influential elements tied to them. I will revisit these topics in another post at a later date.
I have what you might call a very close personal connection to Asher Organics. Someone recently asked me why the company started, or rather, how did the concept come to fruition. Since I have the inside track on this particularly wonderful start-up, I’ll tell you. It was originally about the health of the family. Buying organics and other items that were “locally” grown or otherwise. Then it became about the price of these items. You see, Whole Foods, as awesome as it is, tends to be a bit pricey, especially if you’re interested in shopping the more unique and intriguing items, in addition to the everyday necessities such as peanut butter and bread. The items like Brad’s Raw Chips and fruits and veggies from Just Tomatoes, Etc.!, while wonderfully delicious, can add up rather quickly and can be depleted twice as fast when a hungry toddler gets into them at home.
But the price and overall health of families turned out to be just part of the bigger picture of Asher Organics. Asher Organics has become so much more. And the folks who run it have become much more passionate about the production of food and skin care. The way our nation has allowed ourselves to be duped by giant conglomerate corporations whose trop priority is profitability and fiscal vitality is concerning. The CEOs, Boards of Directors and others in top management positions in these elite few companies who run the food industry in America couldn’t conceivably care any less about the overall health and well being of American families or children. And so Asher Organics, whilst providing less expensive opportunities to enjoy organic and non-GMO foods and skin care products, is also keenly aware of some fundamental changes that need to happen to us as a society in order to move forward in a more healthful, simplified way.
Not only are the people who run Asher Organics passionate about their family’s health, but they’re passionate about yours. They are working to make a change.
It will take some time before this start-up will make as big of a difference as someone like, say, Chef Jamie Oliver, the guy making all the fuss about “pink slime” masquerading as ground beef. But these things take time. And I know for certain the voice behind Asher Organics is becoming louder by the day.
The other element that uniquely positions Asher Organics to do great things is the ease and accessibility of their website. It is intuitive and user-friendly. The sight lines, graphics, and overall look and feel of the website creates a non-stressful flow from one page to the next. The mobile site is fresh and clean. Many other online retailers tend to cloud their pages with ads, too many cross-references of similar products, or are otherwise too junked up with colors, images and text.
Asher Organics is simple.
When you shop Asher Organics (www.asherorganics.com), not only are you doing something good for yourself, you’re supporting a family company, who is in turn supporting quite a few other companies all with the same common goal — the health of you and your family.
