I’ve had a perpetual pit in my stomach for the last few months. Ever since the “moving or not moving” thought came to light, it’s been nothing but stress. My husband and I have done nothing but debate back and forth about why we should, or should not, move.
Here are our reasons to move:
- We have a limited amount of friends — out of those friends, we are friends with one family that also has a baby.
- We have one aunt and uncle in the area, whom we rarely see.
- Our nearest immediate family members are a five and a half hour drive away.
- Our next nearest immediate family members are 2,000+ miles away.
- Winters in Cleveland suck.
- There isn’t much opportunity for professional growth in Cleveland unless you are a doctor or lawyer.
- We would like to live in a newer, bigger home at some point and the chances of affording a home in the area we would ideally like to live are slim. I suppose we could always look at making use of a bridging loan to help us, whilst we try and sell our current home. Maybe I should check out this site (https://tigerfinancial.co.uk/bridging-loans/) and figure out if it’s the right thing for us.
And our reasons to stay…
- I just formed an online group to meet new moms and babies for playdates — and great friendships may come from it. I’ll have to start from scratch with friends wherever we go.
- The friends we do have, we love. They are awesome and we couldn’t ask to be friends with better, sweeter, more considerate people.
- We don’t love any of the cities that are actual, viable options (i.e. where our immediate families reside — no offense to my mom and dad, or to my in-laws).
- Since I have become a SAHM, we don’t have a ton of extra income right now to do everything we would want to do to our house to prepare it for sale. Considering I am staying at home at the moment, I was considering looking into how to earn money with surveys online for a little extra cash to throw at renovations.
- My husband really likes his job and is really great at it. If we move, he’ll have to start over (again). He may not be as successful in a new job, so he may be required to earn some extra money on the side. Whether he does this through online surveys like me, or whether he reads these share tips uk articles to see how investing in shares is a better option, we don’t yet know (although I have heard that this works). Who knows, he may decide to do this if we stay where we are anyway.
- We love our house.
- We are petrified of the “Vegas Effect”. For explanation of the “Vegas Effect,” see previous post.
This decision is so overwhelming. We are continuing to plow through our “To Do For Sale” list, and hopefully as we continue the quest, we will waiver less and less. But there is still likely to be ample amount of discussion, and a considerable amount of Pro/Con lists before we are firm and confident with our decision. Obviously, it’s difficult at the minute, especially with our limited funds. However, some of our friends have been trying to help us by recommending some money-making methods to us. One of my closest friends recently suggested that I look into this 918kiss livemobile66 online casino download to see if that makes us any money. Apparently, online casinos can be beneficial for this sort of thing, so we might look into that more. We really do need some extra cash. Hopefully, we’ll sort all of this out soon.
